MINIMALIST ON A JOURNEY

... to explore the world of colourful paintings

About my work

Inspiration comes from many places. I get excited about a paint pealed wall of an old weather beat shed, a crack in the road or a ship hull deserted in the harbor. Some of these things have been around for years and have many stories to tell. That is what I want my paintings to do as well.

My paintings consist of many layers of marks, collage paper and paint. My aim is to bring energy and strong, exuberant colors into my work., and when I scrape and sand back into the layers, unpredictable shapes, that I cannot control and that is where the new *stories* show up. As a viewer you may not see the same *stories* as I do, but that is what the abstract art is all about for me. That is why you may fall in love with a piece of art.
